Chhattisgarh Election: Nikol Assembly Constituency 2022
In the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Nikol constituency had 14 candidates for assembly seat contention. Nikol was one of 99 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Jagdish Panchal won the election by upstaging Indian National Congress's Gohil Indravijaysinh by a margin of 24,880 votes.
The top two candidates split 98.0% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Jagdish Panchal got a total of 87,764 votes, while Indian National Congress's Gohil Indravijaysinh secured 62,884 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Parmar Rameshbhai Govindbhai secured 927 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 57.1%, 40.9% and 0.6% respectively.
In Gujarat Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Panchal Jagdish Ishwarbhai defeated Indian National Congress's Ghori Narsinhbhai Jayrambhai by 49,302 votes.
