Chhattisgarh Election: Sidhpur Assembly Constituency 2022
In 2017, 13 candidates were contesting for Sidhpur assembly constituency seat. Sidhpur was one of 77 seats won by the Indian National Congress. Indian National Congress's Thakor Chandanjii Talaji won the election by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Jaynarayan Vyas by a margin of 17,260 votes.
The top two candidates split 96.5% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Thakor Chandanjii Talaji got a total of 88,268 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Jaynarayan Vyas secured 71,008 votes. Independent candidate Rajput Rajendrasinh Samantsinh secured 1,909 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 53.5%, 43.0% and 1.2% respectively.
In Gujarat Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Balvantsinh Chandansinh Rajput beat Bharatiya Janata Party's Jaynarayan Vyas by 25,824 votes.
