Chhattisgarh Election 2022: Kalavad S.c. Assembly Seat

In the 2017 Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election, there were 9 candidates in the fray from Kalavad S.C. constituency. Kalavad S.C. was one of 77 seats won by the Indian National Congress. It was a one way contest with Indian National Congress's Musadiya Pravinbhai Narashibhai comfortably winning the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Ghaiyada Muljibhai Dayabhai by a huge margin of 32,951 votes.

The top two candidates split 95.8% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Musadiya Pravinbhai Narashibhai got a total of 78,085 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Ghaiyada Muljibhai Dayabhai secured 45,134 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Sondarva Damjibhai Najabhai secured 2,185 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 60.7%, 35.1% and 1.7% respectively.
