Chhattisgarh Election 2022: Porbandar Assembly Seat

In the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Porbandar constituency had 11 candidates for assembly seat contention. Porbandar was one of 99 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a close contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Babubhai Bhimabhai Bokhiriya winning the election upstaging Indian National Congress's Arjunbhai Devabhai Modhvadiya by a margin of just 1,855 votes.

The top two candidates split 95.0% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Babubhai Bhimabhai Bokhiriya got a total of 72,430 votes, while Indian National Congress's Arjunbhai Devabhai Modhvadiya secured 70,575 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Aanandbhai Hajabhai Maru secured 4,337 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 48.1%, 46.9% and 2.9% respectively.
