Chhattisgarh Election 2022: Vijapur Assembly Seat

In the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Vijapur constituency had 14 candidates for assembly seat contention. Vijapur was one of 99 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was an extremely close fight, with Bharatiya Janata Party's Patel Ramanbhai Dhulabhai winning the election defeating Indian National Congress's Patel Nathabhai Prabhudas by a narrow margin of 1,164 votes.

95.6% of votes were split between top 2 candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Patel Ramanbhai Dhulabhai secured a total of 72,326 votes, while Indian National Congress's Patel Nathabhai Prabhudas got 71,162 votes. Independent candidate Vihol Upendrasinh Navuji grabbed 1,555 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 48.2%, 47.4% and 1.0% respectively.
