Chhattisgarh Election 2022: Vejalpur Assembly Seat

In the 2017 Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election, there were 12 candidates in the fray from Vejalpur constituency. Vejalpur was one of 99 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Chauhan Kishor Babulal won the election upstaging Indian National Congress's Shah Mihirbhai Subodhbhai by a margin of 22,567 votes.

98.2% of the total votes were casted to top two candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Chauhan Kishor Babulal got a total of 1,17,748 votes, while Indian National Congress's Shah Mihirbhai Subodhbhai got 95,181 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Solanki Vinodbhai Bodhabhai grabbed 947 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 54.3%, 43.9% and 0.4% respectively.
