Chhattisgarh Election: Rajkot South Assembly Constituency 2022

In the 2017 Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election, there were 10 candidates in the fray from Rajkot South constituency. Rajkot South was one of 99 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Govindbhai Patel comfortably winning the election upstaging Indian National Congress's Dr. Dinesh Chovatiya by a huge margin of 47,121 votes.

The top two candidates split 97.7% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Govindbhai Patel got a total of 98,951 votes, while Indian National Congress's Dr. Dinesh Chovatiya secured 51,830 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Anju Padaliya secured 1,528 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 64.1%, 33.6% and 1.0% respectively.
