Janata Dal (Secular)'s candidate Raju Gouda Revoor secured 13,340 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 48.3%, 41.2% and 9.0% respectively.
In Karnataka Assembly election 2013, Indian National Congress's Malikayya Venkayya Guttedar defeated Karnataka Jantha Paksha's M.Y.Patil by 5,238 votes.
