Bommanahalli is the assembly constituency which comes under the Bangalore district. It is one of the 224 Karnataka Legislative Assembly Constituencies. Karnataka Assembly Election 2023 for Bommanahalli will be held on May 10 and the result was declared on May 13.
Bommanahalli assembly constituency had 4,05,037 electors in 2018, out of which 2,19,335 were male voters and 1,85,633 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.6% votes.
In 2018, 19 candidates were competing for Bommanahalli assembly constituency seat. Bommanahalli was one of 104 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Sathish Reddy M comfortably winning the election defeating Indian National Congress's Sushma Rajagopala Reddy by a huge margin of 47,162 votes.
The top two candidates split 91.5% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Sathish Reddy M got a total of 1,11,863 votes, while Indian National Congress's Sushma Rajagopala Reddy secured 64,701 votes. Janata Dal (Secular)'s candidate T R Prasad secured 9,379 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 58.0%, 33.5% and 4.9% respectively.
In Karnataka Assembly election 2013, Bharatiya Janata Party's Sathish Reddy.M beat Indian National Congress's Nagabhushana.C by 25,852 votes.
