Bharatiya Janata Party's Ameenappa Gouda S Patil (NADAHALLI) got a total of 63,512 votes, while Indian National Congress's Appaji Urf Channabasavaraj Shankararao Nadagouda secured 54,879 votes. Janata Dal (Secular)'s candidate Mangaladevi Biradar secured 9,845 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 46.2%, 39.9% and 7.2% respectively.
