Mizoram Election: Palanpur Assembly Constituency 2022
In 2017, 14 candidates were contesting for Palanpur assembly constituency seat. Palanpur was one of 77 seats won by the Indian National Congress. Indian National Congress's Patel Maheshkumar Amrutlal won the election by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Prajapati Laljibhai Kanjibhai by a margin of 17,593 votes.
96.2% of the total votes were casted to top two candidates. Indian National Congress's Patel Maheshkumar Amrutlal got a total of 91,512 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Prajapati Laljibhai Kanjibhai got 73,919 votes. Nationalist Congress Party's candidate Foshi Shivrambhai Maganbhai grabbed 1,057 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties secured 53.2%, 43.0% and 0.6% respectively.
In Gujarat Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Patel Maheshkumar Amrutlal outperformed Bharatiya Janata Party's Prajapati Govindbhai Madhavlal by 5,284 votes.
