Rajasthan Election 2022: Talala Assembly Seat

In the 2017 Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election, there were 6 candidates in the fray from Talala constituency. Talala was one of 77 seats won by the Indian National Congress. It was a one way contest with Indian National Congress's Ahir Bhagabhai Dhanabhai Barad comfortably winning the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Parmar Govindbhai Varjangbhai by a huge margin of 31,730 votes.

The top two candidates split 96.7% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Ahir Bhagabhai Dhanabhai Barad got a total of 85,897 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Parmar Govindbhai Varjangbhai secured 54,167 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Thumar Vrujlal Khimabhai secured 2,171 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 59.3%, 37.4% and 1.5% respectively.
