In 2017, 10 candidates were competing for Daskroi assembly constituency seat. Daskroi was one of 99 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Babubhai Jamnadas Patel comfortably winning the election defeating Indian National Congress's Patel Pankajbhai Chimanbhai by a huge margin of 45,065 votes.
95.8% of votes were split between top 2 candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Babubhai Jamnadas Patel secured a total of 1,27,432 votes, while Indian National Congress's Patel Pankajbhai Chimanbhai got 82,367 votes. Independent candidate Shrimali Nileshkumar Rameshbhai grabbed 2,247 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 58.2%, 37.6% and 1.0% respectively.
In Gujarat Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Patel Babubhai Jamnadas defeated Indian National Congress's Baraiya Laxmanbhai Ambalal by 37,633 votes.
