In the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Pardi constituency had 13 candidates for assembly seat contention. Total 99 seats were won by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Pardi was one of them. The election for Pardi seat was comfortably won by Bharatiya Janata Party's Desai Kanubhai Mohanlal defeating Indian National Congress's Bharatbhai Mohanbhai Patel by a huge margin of 52,086 votes.
96.1% of votes were split between top 2 candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Desai Kanubhai Mohanlal secured a total of 98,379 votes, while Indian National Congress's Bharatbhai Mohanbhai Patel got 46,293 votes. Independent candidate Advocate Purva Pradip Gajare grabbed 1,021 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 65.3%, 30.7% and 0.7% respectively.
In Gujarat Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Kanubhai Mohanlal Desai outperformed Indian National Congress's Hemant Manubhai Desai by 37,311 votes.
