Rajasthan Election 2022: Dangs Assembly Seat

In the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Dangs constituency had 5 candidates for assembly seat contention. Dangs was one of 77 seats won by the Indian National Congress. It was an extremely close fight, with Indian National Congress's Gavit Mangalbhai Gangajibhai winning the election defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Patel Vijaybhai Rameshbhai by a narrow margin of 768 votes.

The top two candidates split 95.3% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Gavit Mangalbhai Gangajibhai got a total of 57,820 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Patel Vijaybhai Rameshbhai secured 57,052 votes. Independent candidate Pawar Dineshbhai Gulabbhai secured 3,035 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 48.0%, 47.4% and 2.5% respectively.
