In 2017, 6 candidates were competing for Mandvi assembly constituency seat. Mandvi was one of 77 seats won by the Indian National Congress. It was a one way contest with Indian National Congress's Chaudhari Anandbhai Mohanbhai comfortably winning the election defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Pravinbhai Merjibhai Chaudhari by a huge margin of 50,776 votes.
The top three candidates split 108.4% of votes between them. Indian National Congress's Chaudhari Anandbhai Mohanbhai secured a total of 96,483 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Pravinbhai Merjibhai Chaudhari got 45,707 votes. Independent candidate Halpati Kunvarjibhai Narsinhbhai bagged 29,552 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 60.9%, 28.9% and 18.7% respectively.
In Gujarat Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Vasava Parbhubhai Nagarbhai defeated Bharatiya Janata Party's Vasava Hemalataben Maheshbhai by 24,394 votes.
