Rajasthan Election 2022: Vav Assembly Seat

In the 2017 Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election, there were 7 candidates in the fray from Vav constituency. Vav was one of 77 seats won by the Indian National Congress. It was a close contest with Indian National Congress's Thakor Geniben Nagaji winning the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Chaudhary Shankarbhai Lagdhirbhai by a margin of just 6,655 votes.

96.6% of votes were split between top 2 candidates. Indian National Congress's Thakor Geniben Nagaji secured a total of 1,02,328 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Chaudhary Shankarbhai Lagdhirbhai got 95,673 votes. Independent candidate Brahmkshatriya Bhagvatiben Khetsinhbhai grabbed 2,643 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 49.9%, 46.7% and 1.3% respectively.
