In 2017, 17 candidates were contesting for Mandvi assembly constituency seat. Mandvi was one of 99 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Jadeja Virendrasinh Bahadursinh won the election by defeating Indian National Congress's Gohil Shaktisinhji Harichandrasinhji by a margin of 9,046 votes.
The top two candidates split 94.6% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Jadeja Virendrasinh Bahadursinh got a total of 79,469 votes, while Indian National Congress's Gohil Shaktisinhji Harichandrasinhji secured 70,423 votes. Independent candidate Rangani Maheshbhai Karshanbhai secured 1,282 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 50.2%, 44.5% and 0.8% respectively.
In Gujarat Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Chheda Tarachand Jagashi defeated Indian National Congress's Parmar Kishorsinh Rajendrasinh by 8,506 votes.
