Independent candidate Sukhabhai Dayabhai Kumbharavadiya grabbed 1,387 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 49.6%, 47.7% and 0.8% respectively.
In Gujarat Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Amrutiya Kantilal Shivlal defeated Indian National Congress's Brijesh Merja by 2,760 votes.
