Telangana Election: Bhavnagar Rural Assembly Constituency 2022
In the 2017 Gujarat Legislative Assembly Election, there were 10 candidates in the fray from Bhavnagar Rural constituency. Bhavnagar Rural was one of 99 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Parsottambhai Odhavjibhai Solanki won the election upstaging Indian National Congress's Kantibhai Tapubhai Chauhan by a margin of 30,993 votes.
The top two candidates split 93.5% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Parsottambhai Odhavjibhai Solanki got a total of 89,555 votes, while Indian National Congress's Kantibhai Tapubhai Chauhan secured 58,562 votes. Independent candidate Solanki Vicky Girishbhai secured 2,143 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 56.5%, 37.0% and 1.4% respectively.
In Gujarat Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Parshottmbhai Odhavjibhai Solanki defeated Indian National Congress's Gohil Shaktisinh by 18,554 votes.
