Child musical prodigies -- drummers, tap dancers, guitarists, pianists, a washing-machine-player -- come together for the ultimate tribute to MJ...created entirely online

Michael Jackson’s Heal the World never made it to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. The best it did, after it released in 1991 (as part of Jackon’s mega-hit album, Dangerous), was no. 27. On the UK Singles Chart, it did better: at no. 2.

Yet, Heal the World was the song MJ was believed to be the proudest of. He would later go on to create Heal the World Foundation, a charitable organisation, to aid children.

If you’re an MJ fan, and a fan of the original, you cannot miss this new version reprised for Jackson’s birth anniversary (on August 29).

Maati Baani, a Mumbai-based music duo (Kartik Shah and Nirali Kartik), has been collaborating with artists from all over the world via the internet , for a good part of 2016.

Enjoy the song.

Here’s the full story, of how the children’s version of Heal the World came together.
