Artist Ramesh Gorjala's forte lies in bringing alive Indian mythological figures on his canvases.

The composition is dealt with sensitivity and attention to detail. The principle figure is the main subject of his art, with smaller figures used to create multiple narrative sequences. In spite of his modern sensibilities, Gorjala does not stray from the regional style.

His ability to overlap images and layer his principle images with narratives of the deity is unique and powerful. The exhibition, titled Mythological Metaphor, is on display at Chawla Art Gallery, Square One Mall, Saket, till March 15
