What happens after war? The consequences are more than what we hear or read about. To bring the stories of Gaza, a war-ridden place in middle east, Mahnoor Yar Khan presents an exhibition of artwork done by the young artists from Gaza.

Have you ever wondered what it is to live amid terror? Would you want to know? Then be a part of the festival of works by young artists, writers and filmmakers from Gaza that highlight the issues concerning Palestine. Organised for the first time in the Capital, the exhibition intends to bring to the limelight the plight of those who live in that area and what it means to young people to live under siege and uncertainty.

“For 51 days Israel relentlessly bombed the Gaza strip in 2014. The incident claimed thousands of lives and traumatised many. After 51 days, artists produced this work and I want to showcase them,” says Mahnoor Yar Khan, organiser of the exhibition.

After travelling to several parts of India, the organisers are showcasing the artworks in Delhi. “Our goal is to travel to eight cities of India over a period of a year. We had already exhibited our work that includes films, talks, performance art at Jawaharlal Nehru University, Jamia Millia Islamia in the Capital and the response we got was quite motivating,” says Khan.
