More than 50 passengers sustained injuries when aspirants for the post of constable in army allegedly pelted stones at a train in Morena, about 465 kilometers north of Bhopal, as per a report on Tuesday evening.

According to police sources, several aspirants from Morena had gone to Sagar to take part in the recruitment process for the post of constable.

On their return journey, they boarded Jammutavi Express (11449) and soon after started creating ruckus in the train for occupying seats.

Passengers alleged that the aspirants misbehaved with co-passengers and beat up those who resisted them. They pulled chains of the train several times to get down near their villages as per their convenience.

They pulled the chain at least 10 times between Gwalior and Morena and thereafter, pelted stones at the train, injuring more than 50 passengers in sleeper coaches S-6 to S-10.

As per police sources, some passengers lodged a complaint with GRP and RPF at Gwalior railway station.
