AICC general secretary and state Congress affairs in charge Deepak Babaria was facing once again a question which has been haunting the Congress leaders and workers in Madhya Pradesh for long as to who will be a CM face of the party for 2018 assembly elections.
The occasion was a press conference at Pradesh Congress Committee on Friday afternoon. However, the reply from a bit agitated Babaria was quite unexpected rather he indirectly blamed the media for asking the question.
“Maine baar baar is prashna ka yahi uttar diya hai ki mai to is prashna ka uttar nahi dunga. It is our party matter. Humko Jabhi bhi upyuktata lagegi hum us prakar ka decision lenge. It’s a ploy the BJP ki jo Congress party me vivaad khada karne ke liye is sawal ko baar baar promote karta hai. (I have answered repeatedly this question that I will not answer this question. It’s our party matter. We will take any decision looking into circumstances. It’s a ploy of the BJP which promotes this question repeatedly to create disputes in the BJP)”, said Babaria.
Babaria didn’t stop here. He went on to say, “Mera ye jo soch hai usko pushti bhi mila jab koi ek jagah maine nivedan kuchh kiya tha to uske baare me yehan ke ek senior minister ne hamaare ek purva vidhayak ko phone karke poochha ki Babariaji ne iske baare me kya kaha (My perception was corroborated when I said something somewhere in this regard and a senior minister called up one of ex-MLAs of the Congress to ask what I had said).”

{{/usCountry}}However, when journalists brought to his attention that it was some leaders of the party who themselves had suggested that there should be a CM face Babaria chose to parry the question.
Babaria said the party decided at a meeting held on Friday that a team of 60 leaders will be constituted. Similarly, there would be teams up to the booth level to strengthen the party. There was another decision to hold 2000-2200 meetings across the state to cover every assembly constituency till the assembly elections are held.
