PEB scam whistleblower attacked in Gwalior

Professional Examination Board (PEB) scam whistleblower Ashish Chaturvedi was attacked by an unidentified bike-borne youth at the Science College Road in Gwalior on Monday.

Professional Examination Board (PEB) scam whistleblower Ashish Chaturvedi was attacked by an unidentified bike-borne youth at the Science College Road in Gwalior on Monday.

Chaturvedi was returning from senior superintendent of police (SSP) Santosh Kumar's residence, when he was attacked.

The assailant hit him on the head from behind and escaped. Ashish, who was riding his bicycle fell by the roadside. He was picked up by his personal security officer (PSO), provided by the police, and an FIR was lodged at Jhansi Road police station.

"I had gone to meet the SSP, who has just been transferred. I noticed a youth riding a black pulser, wearing black T-shirt and also a black helmet following me and gazing at me time and again. I thought he must have seen my picture in newspapers or TV", said Ashish over phone.

"Moving with a PSO on a cycle also attracts attention. Therefore, I didn't mind it. But, when I was returning, he came from behind, hit me on the head and escaped. I have sustained injuries on the leg as I fell down fro my cycle", Ashish further said.

Rahul's elder brother Deepak Yadav allegedly ran a big racket, facilitating students to crack PMT. Deepak Yadav is son-in-law of former deputy inspector general of police (DIG) Harinarayan Yadav.
