A Gentleman trailer: Watch Sidharth Malhotra pretend he’s Tom Cruise, Shah Rukh Khan

A Gentleman trailer: Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez star in the new action film, which has shades of Tom Cruise’s Knight & Day, and Shah Rukh Khan’s Main Hoon Na.

The first trailer for A Gentleman, the new film starring Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez, was released online on Monday.

A Gentleman, directed by Raj & DK (Go Goa Gone) is scheduled for release on 25 August.

Malhotra plays Gaurav, a ‘sundar, susheel’ sort of man, deemed too ‘safe’ by his fiance, played by Jacqueline. He has his life sorted, and can’t wait to settle down.

But beneath his squeaky clean surface, lies a secret. He is some sort of spy/assassin, and a gang of criminals, led by Suniel Shetty, is after him.

The trailer soon reveals another major plot twist, that Jacqueline, too, has been blessed with super-skills. The film, meanwhile, looks to be inspired by many Hollywood movies, most notably Tom Cruise’s Knight & Day, which has already been remade in India with Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang, and American Ultra, starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart.
