A couple of months back, HT Café reported that Shahid Kapoor's younger sister, Sanah Kapur, was ready to enter Bollywood after completing an acting course at the famed Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute (New York, USA). Now, we can confirm that she is making her debut alongside her brother, in Vikas Bahl’s next.
"Sanah will be playing Alia Bhatt’s sister. The family has kept it a secret till now as they didn’t want her to feel any pressure. The film is going on the floors in London, UK, in a couple of days," says an insider. Interestingly, Sanah’s father, Pankaj Kapur, will play her on-screen dad.
When contacted, Shahid confirms, "Sanah, dad and I — all three — are going to act in Vikas’s film."
Besides Sanah, Shahid has two other siblings who are apparently keen on acting — Ruhaan (son of Pankaj Kapur and Supriya Pathak) and Ishaan (son of Neelima Azim and Rajesh Khattar). The former has even completed an acting course from a London institute.
But Shahid refuses to talk about their Bollywood plans. He says, "They’re so young, and at a stage where they’re still deciding what they want to do. If I say anything, I will get an earful from them saying that they haven’t even decided what they want to do. So, I won’t say anything. When they decide on something, they themselves will talk. They are very strong-minded about what they want to do in life."
