Filmfare Awards 2018 red carpet: Everyone from Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor to Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Parineeti Chopra, Kajol and Rekha arrived in the most glamorous dresses and tuxedos.

Bollywood stars descended upon the red carpet for Saturday’s 63rd Filmfare Awards, held in honour of the best films Hindi cinema had to offer in 2017. Vidya Balan and Irrfan won Best Actor awards while Hindi Medium won Best Film and India’s official entry to the Oscars, Newton starring Rajkummar Rao, won the critics’ choice award for Best Film.

While the show itself saw entertaining performances by the likes of Akshay Kumar and Ranveer Singh, it was the red carpet event - streamed live on Twitter - that caught everyone’s attention.

Everyone from Akshay Kumar and Sonam Kapoor, whose film PadMan is right around the corner, to Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Parineeti Chopra, Kajol and Rekha arrived in the most glamorous dresses and tuxedos.
