The 43-year-old model-turned-actor, who made his acting debut with erotic thriller Jism, believes action films have a mass appeal and the genre will never lose its fan base. “I don’t have any fear of being typecast. Be it Bollywood or Hollywood action hero will always last the longest. Action films are for masses. I think from an actor’s point of view it is a very safe genre for me,” said John.

John says the movie is a proper sequel compared to other Bollywood franchises which are just cashing in on the success of previous film. “Force 2 is the only correctly defined sequel where you feel it is not force fitted. The others are ‘part 2’ for some strange reasons. Our heart is at a right place and we are lucky to have the script right.”

Directed by Abhinay Deo, Force 2 also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Tahir Raj Bhasin. The movie will hit the theatres this Friday.
