After getting the second best opening in 2012, Sajid Khan's sequel to Housefull continues to perform well at the box office. It seems Akshay Kumar's magic is back despite the current IPL fever.The second weekend collections of the film are impressive.

"The collections on Saturday jumped to about Rs 6.75 crore from Rs 4.75 crore on Friday. Sunday numbers were said to be about Rs 9 crore, taking the India net collections to Rs 81 crore. The film, which cost over Rs 75 crore to make, including prints and advertising, has already ensured the producers Rs 28 crore from satellite rights," reported Mid Day.Housefull 2 had garnered Rs 42 crore in its opening weekend."The first day collections of the film were Rs 14 crore. On Saturday, collections dropped slightly to Rs 13 crore. On Sunday, Housefull 2 netted a total of Rs 15 crore, taking its three-day total to Rs 42 crore (approx. all-India net)," trade analyst Komal Nahta stated on koimoi.com.
