The 32-year-old has no qualms in accepting that in the initial stages of her career, she did choose films based purely on instinct and not on scripts.Asked if she ever chose a film without reading the script, she agreed that she had. "Ideally, I should say no, but yes, I have signed films without reading scripts. I don’t exactly remember which ones but it has to be one of those earlier films like Welcome, Singh is Kingg, etc," says Kat.

Sometimes, when you hear a script without reading it, you can take home an untrue perspective of the story. So, for this one film I did, I heard the script and told my friends that I was the main character in the film. Honestly, that is what I understood, but it turned out later that I had a very supporting kind of role. But for the last 5-6 years, everyone in the industry works with a bound script, and that is a good thing," she added.
