On her 33rd birthday on July 16, actor Katrina Kaif decided to join Facebook, breaking her long-held resolve to refrain from sharing her life on any social network. Not only did she interact with fans on the site, Kat also posted a video of herself roaming about at home.

“Of course, the final decision to take the plunge and get on Facebook was her own. But Katrina definitely got some sensible advice from Salman. Part of her reluctance to get on a social platform stemmed from her closeness to (actor and ex-boyfriend) Ranbir Kapoor. Since he stayed away from Twitter and Facebook, so did she,” says a friend of Katrina.
