In 2010, sound designer Resul Pookutty worked on the music for the Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Rajinikanth-starrer, Robot. Now, as Aishwarya is set to make a comeback to films with Sanjay Gupta’s next Jazbaa, the Oscar-winning sound designer (for Slumdog Millionaire) has been roped in for the project.

While Gupta couldn’t be reached for a comment since he is at the Cannes Film Festival to promote the film, co-producer Sachiin J Joshi says, “Resul is a brilliant technician. His skills and accuracy in sound design are much needed for an action-thriller like ours. That’s why Sanjay decided on Resul, and we decided not to compromise and go with his gut feeling.”
