Recently, Subhash made news when he was fired by Katrina for reporting late to a shoot.

While the artist was out of work for a while, that period gave him the opportunity to think about changing his profession, something he’d wanted to do for a while. Subhash will now don the producer’s hat with a Hindi movie that will be directed by Marathi film-maker, Jayant Gilatar. "I decided to become a producer as I wanted to change my profession. The film will go on the floors in mid-March," says Subhash, adding that the film is a slice-of-life story centered on people working in the film industry.

Till now, actors such as Juhi Chawla, Shabana Azmi, Divya Dutta and Anupam Kher have been signed for it. Subhash also reveals that he is in talks with a ‘star’ for a special role.
