Be it matters of her family or her relationships, Sonakshi Sinha has always been guarded about her personal life. She feels that while she shares almost everything with her fans, there are some things that she would like to keep just to herself.
Here, she talks about the importance of her family, turning film producer, and more.
How would you describe your journey in Bollywood so far?
The journey has been really fulfilling, and I have learnt a lot, because I love what I do. I have never really found it (working in films) hard or considered it work. This is my life. If an outsider sees a day in my life, my hard work and commitment, and the long hours and travel involved, they might think it's stressful. But, for me, it's what I live for.
You have always been protective about your personal life. Why?
I actually share a lot with my fans. I'm so active on social media that they practically know it all. But there are certain things that I don't need to share with the world. My family and friends are most important to me. I am really protective about them.
People tend to expect more from actors who come from a film background. It is also believed that they don't need to struggle a lot to sustain in the industry. Do you agree?
I guess just as you would expect a lawyer's child to become a great lawyer, or a doctor's kid to be a great doctor, people do expect more out of actors' children too. It's natural. But about the getting it easy part, yes, may be the initial meeting, or audition or even a film may happen because of connections, but after that, it's all on you.

What's the progress on your home production?
We have been going through so many scripts. It is not easy to be a producer. We want it to be just right, and something all three of us - Luv (Sinha; brother), Kush (Sinha; brother) and I - agree upon. All the directors that we want to work with right now are already committed, so the decision is pending on whether we should go with someone who is relatively new, or wait.
