When celebrities attach their names to a product, the face value of the brand goes up. This is why they are offered hefty remuneration for endorsement deals. But, unlike most of his contemporaries, John Abraham is quite particular about the products he is associated with. A source close to the actor says that a popular tobacco company approached him for an endorsement recently. But, despite being offered a lucrative amount, John apparently turned the offer down.
“John endorses a few brands. Before attaching his name to any product, he does a lot of research on it. A tobacco brand felt that he was perfect to endorse their high-end cigarettes. However, John turned the offer down as he doesn’t want to encourage smoking,” says the source.

The insider adds that smoking, alcohol and drugs are a no-no for the actor in real life as well. “John never compromises on his principles. A few years ago, several innerwear brands wanted to get him on board to endorse their products. However, John turned all the brands down, as he wasn’t comfortable in endorsing them,” says the source.
