Remember Tanushree Dutta? Actor resurfaces after 2 years, she’s unrecognisable in new pics

Two years after leaving India for the US and eight years after quitting the film business, Aashiq Banaya Aapne actor Tanushree Dutta was spotted, unrecognisable, at the Mumbai airport. See pics.

Actor Tanushree Dutta, who last appeared on screen in 2010’s Apartment, was spotted in public for the first time in over two years at the Mumbai airport. Tanushree was a Miss India Universe winner and had struck gold after her debut film, Aashiq Banaya Aapne.

She’d left for the US over two years ago, and little has been seen of her in that time. She did, however, make the occasional appearance on her sister Ishita’s Instagram page. Ishita is also an actor, and appeared in Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam.

Before leaving for India, the actor had shared on Snapchat, “Flight to Mumbai!! Coming back to India after 2 years..nervous and excited!! Will miss USA…be back soooon!!!”

Fans offered words of encouragement for the actor and even wondered if she was in town to make a comeback in films. “She’s been struggling with her weight for a while.. nevertheless she seems happy and healthy. I admire anyone who survives the perils of show business.. It takes guts,” one person wrote next to her photos on Instagram.

Tanushree’s first Bollywood film, Aashiq Banaya Aapne, also starred Emraan Hashmi and was a hit with the audience.
