Karan Johar’s SOTY gave us three reigning Bollywood stars – Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra. And if buzz is to be believed, the film’s sequel will launch Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh’s daughter Sara Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor’s half brother Ishaan Khattar.

For the longest time Bollywood grapevine insisted SOTY 2 will be the launchpad of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Jhanvi Kapoor. The star kid known for her stylish Instagram posts is reportedly mulling a career in Bollywood. However, the latest news puts paid to that.
Instead, the focus has shifted to Sara and Ishaan. While Karan Johar has not commented on the star cast yet, he had recently announced that a SOTY sequel is in the works. Report in a daily insists that the youngsters will be groomed for their Bollywood debut by Johar himself.
