#SaveAleppo: Celebrities across the world condemn violence in Syria

Celebrities across the globe are urging people and authorities to save the people stuck in Aleppo, Syria, which is going through a heart-wrenching battle between the rebels and government.

The war crime scenes and pictures shared by the sufferers of Aleppo, Syria, have shook the world. Celebrities across the world are now talking about the inhumane situation of civilians in the Syrian city, posting pictures on Instagram and tweeting about it.

Actor Priyanka Chopra tweeted a heart-rending picture of a child being carried by a civilian, and said, “My heart cries for humanity.. the feeling of helplessness .. all lives matter.. my prayers for #Aleppo.”

Actor Varun Dhawan tweeted, “Reading about the crisis in #Aleppo is heartbreaking. Sad to see videos of the destruction and killings #peacenotpieces #pray.”

Writing about the Assad regime, Actor Ali Fazal said on Instagram, “To the Assad regime, Russia, and Iran — three Member States behind the conquest of and carnage in Aleppo — you bear responsibility for these atrocities. By rejecting UN-ICRC evacuation efforts, you are signalling to those militia who are massacring innocents to keep doing what they are doing.”

Bollywood actor-comedian Vir Das shared a link on his Facebook page saying, “Guys! If you’re wondering what you can do to help people in #Aleppo I found this link very useful.”

Adriana Lima, Brazilian model and actor, best known as a Victoria’s Secret Angel since 2000, pleaded for people to spread the word on her Instagram account.

Alyssa Jayne Milano, an American actor tweeted, “More than 8 million children are in need of immediate aid in #Syria.” She called for people to support civilians trapped in the city.

Bette Midler, an American actor and singer, tweeted, “The beautiful city of Aleppo is dead. Assad; butcher, monster and optometrist, has murdered hundreds of thousands of his own as we watched.”
