Sonam Kapoor postponed her wedding so that Swara Bhaskar could be by her side

Sonam Kapoor decided to postpone her wedding by two months when she realised that her best friend Swara Bhaskar’s brother was getting married on the same day.

If anyone needed more proof of Sonam Kapoor and Swara Bhaskar’s wholesome friendship, they need not look any further. Swara has revealed how Sonam went the extra mile for their friendship just so she could attend her wedding.

In a recent interview to Radio City, Swara said her brother and Sonam were initially supposed to get married on the same date, March 12. The clash proved problematic as Sonam really wanted her best friend to be by her side as she became a bride and tied the knot with Anand Ahuja.

“Sonam entered (Veere Di Wedding set) looking very upset. I got an idea what it was about,” Swara said, according to a News 18 report. “Sonam even asked me if I could convince my parents in order to get Ishan’s wedding date changed,” she added.

Swara shared several pictures with Sonam and Anand and gave her fans an insider’s look into the wedding. “@sonamkapoor you are one of the most genuinely beautiful and giving people I’ve ever known.. There have been so many times I’ve learnt from your generosity & gracious conduct.. Sonam and Swara have worked together on Raajhanaa and Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo and will soon be seen together on the big screen in their upcoming film, Veere Di Wedding. The film, which also stars Kareena Kapoor and Shikha Talsania, will release on June 1.
