Not every actor is comfortable getting intimate on screen, especially when the actors involved in the scene have never met before. A similar incident happened with actor Tia Bajpai recently. While shooting for a web series, the actor had to kiss her co-star Ruslaan Mumtaz, and they took 13 takes to finally get the scene right.

“I was not uncomfortable kissing on screen as I have done it before in Haunted 3D (2011) as well as 1920 Evil Returns (2012). It’s just that I was a little shy,” says Tia.
“The first day I met Ruslaan, we were supposed to shoot a lovemaking scene. It was awkward as we didn’t know each other. But then the unit members left the set except for Vikram (Bhatt, director) sir and we shot the scene. Ruslaan is a helpful co-actor. We have developed a great friendship,” says Tia.
Helmed by Vikram Bhatt, the series ‘is a revenge story about a rape survivor’. “Vikram sir has directed most of the portions and he was there when the kissing scene was happening. I’m comfortable in front of him because I have a very long association with him… He’s a brilliant director. If I may say, he’s an actor’s director. He tells me the lesser you do things on screen, the better it looks,” says the actor..
