Vicky Kaushal to play Deepika Padukone’s husband in Padmavati?

Riding high on the critical accolades he received for Masaan and Raman Raghav 2.0, actor Vicky Kaushal seems to be headed for yet another big project: If reports are to be believed, Vicky has auditioned for the role of Deepika Padukone’s husband in filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ambitious movie Padmavati.

Vicky, who made a name for himself with performances in films like Zubaan, Masaan and Raman Raghav 2.0, is one of the top contenders to play Deepika Padukone’s husband in Bhansali’s Padmavati. “He has auditioned for the role (of Deepika Padukone’s husband). He is in talks but nothing is finalised yet,” sources said.

Deepika Padukone is likely to play titular role of Padmavati in the movie.

Padmavati will reportedly feature Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.

Deepika is currently busy with her international debut film xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, where she will be seen sharing screen space with Hollywood star Vin Diesel.

Ranveer will be seen next in Aditya Chopra’s Befikre and Vicky will be feature alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in Manmarziyan.
