Farhan Akhtar is back, and how. Remember the title track of the actor’s 2008 hit film Rock On? The first song of the film’s sequel, Rock On 2, was released on Wednesday: This time the actor-filmmaker-singer’s has trained his lyrics on women’s empowerment.

Written by Farhan’s dad Javed Akhtar, the song is inspiring and talks about women empowerment. Sample some lines:

“Mita do aur fir se likho taqdeer tum.”

“Reeton rasmon ke aage jhukna nahi hai”

“Teri zindagi teri hai jaise tu jiye”

Rock On 2 is a sequel to the 2008 hit Rock On that starred Arjun Rampal, Puraab Kholi, Farhan and Prachi Desai. Farhan took to Twitter to share the first song of his film:

Rock On 2, directed by Shujaat Saudagar, will star Arjun Rampal, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli and Farhan Akhtar . Farhan, Arjun, Purab and Prachi reprise their roles from the first part.
