HC Gupta new Coal Secretary

HC Gupta took over as Union Coal Secretary following the retirement of PC Parakh on Dec 31, 2005.

HC Gupta, an Uttar Pradesh cadre IAS officer, on Monday took over as Union Coal Secretary following the retirement of PC Parakh on December 31, 2005.

Gupta was the Member, Administration in the National Highway Authority of India before moving up to the position, an official release said.
