JSW MG Motor India on Tuesday announced that the MG Windsor finished the calendar year 2025 as India’s highest-selling electric passenger vehicle. MG says that they sold 46,735 units of the Windsor during the year, making it the best-selling four-wheeler EV ever in India in a single calendar year.

MG attributed the numbers to the Windsor’s broad appeal among family buyers, a customer group that has increasingly begun to view electric vehicles as a practical everyday choice rather than a niche alternative.
Family-oriented features
MG said the Windsor’s success is rooted in its focus on space, comfort and ease of use. The carmaker believes that these qualities have helped it stand out in a crowded and fast-growing EV landscape. The company also said the model has emerged as one of the most awarded EVs in the country.
EV momentum lifts MG’s overall performance
The MG Windsor’s strong sales helped JSW MG Motor India close the calendar year 2025 on a positive note. The company reported 19 per cent overall growth for the year, while its EV volumes more than doubled, rising 111 per cent over 2024. MG said demand for its electric models is no longer limited to large metros, with steady traction now coming from smaller cities and emerging markets as well.
