“What message does the Captain intend to give to the people of Punjab by presenting people like Rana, Raja and Chaudhary as his mascots for inspiration at his rally against drugs in Amritsar on January 22?” BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh said in a statement here.

Chugh criticised Rana, a liquor baron, for being named as a coordinator for the Congress rally.
“It would be more appropriate for Amarinder to also ensure the presence of Jalandhar MP Chaudhary Santokh Singh and All India Youth Congress president Raja Warring at the rally,” Chugh said, pointing out that Chaudhary Santokh Singh was facing the probe by the Enforcement Directorate for his alleged transactions in the diary of one of the accused in the drug racket. Chugh accused Raja Warring of having links with drug dealer Gurlal Singh.
