In a shocking case of corporal punishment, a student's mother dies of shock on hearing that her son was brutally beaten by a teacher, according to news channel Times Now.

Rattanpreet, who was attending a camp in Manali was flogged by his teacher when he asked for the money that he was asked to keep with his teacher. Not only was the boy beaten, he was also left to clean the camp while the other students toured the city.
On hearing the treatment meted out to her son, Rattanpreet's mother decided to take the matter up with the school authorities, but unfortunately died of cardiac arrest soon after entering the school premises.
