The house hunting in Bengaluru is a no easy game as the landlords go with all guns blazing while setting the rules for their tenants. Asking LinkedIn profile and marital status are old, and a man now shared his ordeal after getting rejected as a tenant by the landlord for his low 12th class score.

A man named Shubh shared his WhatsApp conversation with a broker where he said that the landlord rejected him because he was expecting at least 90% in the 12th grade. In the chat, the broker wrote, “Hey, I sent your docs to the owner. Sorry but he rejected your profile, because you have got 75% in class 12 and the owner is expecting at least 90%.” The conversation went viral on Twitter, giving room for another round of discussion on the house rental market in the tech capital.
A user named Shruthi Mishra wrote, “Haha, this is a sad reality & when my owner got to know about my work, she invited me over for coffee.”

There was also a comment about why landlords are not preferring bachelor people as tenants. A user named Swapnil shared the pictures of a messy houses filled with liquor bottles and wrote, “May be this is the reason why Landlords are too cautious before renting their properties to bachelors. A Bangalore based landlord had revealed that how he lent his 2 bhk flat to an educated bachelor and this is what he did in just 3-4 months. Though, I agree that just because of a few such cases, we can’t judge/ban the whole bachelors community.”
