A 65-year-old man succumbed to his injuries after his two drug-addict sons attacked him with sharp-edged weapons.

The police have registered a case of murder against Amar Singh and his brother Gupreet Singh for allegedly killing their father.

The incident took place on August 4 when the accused scuffled with each other.

Ram Singh (65) of Jhaloor village, and his son Amar Singh got injured and were admitted to Barnala civil hospital, where Ram Singh succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

The police have registered a case of murder against Amar Singh and his brother Gupreet Singh for allegedly killing their father.

SHO Karan Sharma said the victim used to stop his addict sons from taking drugs.

“On August 4, the accused engaged in a heated argument with their father and attacked him with sharp-edged weapons. We have arrested Gurpreet Singh while Amar Singh is undergoing treatment,” said the SHO.
